All I can say about last night is W O W ! ! ! ! !

Them Boys TORE IT UP ! ! ! !

Now I know where Dan Toler got the nickmane "dangerous" ! ! ! !

With a guitar is his hands, he is truly DANGEROUS ! ! ! ! !

He sounds BETTER than he ever has !

Randall Hall was supposed to be there but wasn't, so Phil, who usually plays bass, played guitar & the suprise guest bass player was Buzzy Meekins ! !

To me, that was the highlight of the show !

That man was playing CHORDS on the bass ! ! ! ! ! I haven't heard ANYBODY do that since Paul Goodard of the ARS did it on "Another Man's Woman" !

But The BEST part of the whole night was seeing Gene (GOGO) Odom again ! ! ! I met him on Oct. 20th 1993 at Ronnie's crypt.

I rode a bicycle from Lakeland to Jacksonville Memory Garden to see Ronnie & got to meet Gene too.

15 years later he STILL remembered me ! ! !

All in all, the whole night was AWSOME ! ! ! !

If they EVER get together again I'M THERE ! !

Kenny C.

oh my god!!!!!!

dang! i wsh i would have been there.

DAN TOLER is one of my top 5 guitar players of all time!!

funny seeing him play strats now. he played lp's for years but the
weight of them took its toll on his shoulder and he cant swing
them around all night like he used to.

i sure would have liked to see him play again. i saw him in
oregon years ago and he was LOUD as i have ever "heard"
but had tone to the bone. and his chops were tite, second to
NONE!!

and getting to hear him on FREEBIRD. once in a life time deal
there. i always wanted to have him in the trib band with gary,
that would be cool.

how about gary, dan toler and warren haynes?

now THAT would be a guitar army!!

GENE: next time, say hi for me from one of dans biggest fans!! 8)

man HH, you missed out, its too bad you couldn't make it. that has to be the best concert that i have ever been to by a long shot. aside from the original skynyrd, i don't think you can beat these guys. i got a great seat front and center and was on the edge of it the whole time. what i thought was really cool though, was how approachable they all were. after its over they just walk around and talk to everybody.
all in all it was an amazing show at the Music Ranch on July 26, 2008......

I can't really put it into words how much I enjoyed seeing these guys at The Music Ranch. They really put on a great show. Yea, I'll have to say it's one of the best since seeing the original LS. It certainly took me back in time. They played songs from each of their original bands. I met and spoke with most of them. They all were very nice but I found Buzzy to be the most cordial. Fast Fred could flat sure tear up his harmonica!! One of the best I've seen. The owner Phil, really made us feel at home. I met friends from here on the forum which was really a treat. Had the honor to stay with Billy and Barbara that were nice enough to invite me to stay w/them. I kinda got happy feet too!! You know when your shoes just wana shuffle around. I danced w/Gene, which by the way Gene's a great dancer. The whole week-end was great. But that night will be forever etched in my heart and soul.
It just leads me to wanna say: "I love you Ronnie Van Zant" :!: :!:

Wow Dianne, it sounds like I missed a great time. I'm sorry I didn't get to go and meet you and the other "frynds". I enjoyed hearing the details though and seeing the pix. Can't wait til October. It will be good to finally meet everybody!
