Lynyrd Skynyrd Memorial T-Shirt I stopped by the cemetary the other day. I was going to the jug to meet Billy Bob, the owner of the bar. Everytime I go to Jacksonville I pass by the cemetary. I stopped and visited with Ronnie, Allen, and Leon. I stop by there often, my folks are buried there as well. While standing at Ronnie’s grave looking over my right shoulder looking at Leon’s grave it dawned on me how they were buried. When they played live all those years Ronnie was in front center of stage. Allen was always on Ronnie’s right, looking at the stage. Leon was always on Ronnie’s left. This is just the way they are buried in death. The Cemetary being a stage, Ronnie center, Leon left, and Allen right. WOW……They are in eternal rest as if they were playing live! Seems fitting to me that Ronnie is still leading them in death just as he had done in life……There will be something special that I will have for October 19-20 to commemorate the way they played on stage.
